The brand is known for making durable and quality sets. Moreover, their dishware is more resilient than the made in china stuff, that has the tendency to chip and break very easily. While most of Corelle’s dishware comes in classic designs that may seem dated to some people, recently some of their modern designs have been gaining popularity. This set being one of them.

This is an 18 piece set, which includes: (10) 1/4 inch dinner plates, (6) 3/4 inch bread & butter plates, and (2) 2 Oz soup & cereal bowls. Unfortunately, there are no mugs included in the set. But 18 pieces aren't that bad for a dinner set that costs less than $120.

This set is manufactured with 70 percent of recycled triple-layered durable glass called Vitrelle. Vitrelle is made entirely in the USA and is thoroughly tested for quality control. It is very durable and won’t chip easily. The reason being, it is created through a unique process that thermally bonds the three layers of glass to the glass core. Besides, the design pigments used for its manufacturing are FDA approved, lead-free, non-toxic, and food safe. Durability
When looking for a dinnerware set, you need one that lasts a very long time and shows well all the while. While bone or fine chinaware can retain its beauty for extended years, it cannot match the durability of Corelle's American-made Livingware dinner set. It's as translucent and thin as fine chinaware, yet considerably stronger. Its tempered glass material is resistant to cracking, chipping, and breakage. Nonetheless, we wouldn’t recommend dropping them from a height to test their durability. In case one of them breaks, you can replace it with another! All sizes are readily available from the market. Hence, you do not need to replace the entire set.
Oven Safety
Typically, glass is susceptible to swift changes in temperature. Placing a hot dish on a cold surface or pouring a scorching meal in an ice-cold bowl can cause breakage. They are an excellent fit for cereals, though. Similarly, plates are also small in size. They can be a good fit if you're on a diet, and require a smaller surface area. Second, the dishes are reasonably durable. But like any glassware, if they fall at a certain angle, they will shatter. The difference being, Vitrelle glass breaks into a million tiny pieces, which can create a mess as they are cumbersome to clean. Third, the designs may start to fade after several years of constant dishwashing. We suggest to hand wash your dishes every now and then to switch it up!
